Kūʻe Petition Protest at the McKinley Statue
McKinley High School, Honolulu, Hawaiʻi
Ka Lei Maile Aliʻi members displayed their Kūʻe Petition signs around the McKinley High School statue in Honolulu. As you will see in the video, President McKinley is holding a “Treaty of Annexation” in his hand.
Hawaiians cannot let others re-write their true history. There was “No Treaty of Annexation.”
We honor our Kūpuna, our ancestors, who signed the Kūʻe Petition by displaying their names on the back of the signs.
